No royal bride would be complete without a glittering piece of headwear, but you don’t need to be a resident of the palace to rock your very own twinkling tiara. There is an abundance of headpieces and headbands that are totally royal wedding inspired without the regal budget! We adore this Meghan Markle inspired bandeau tiara from Ivory and Co and this piece worthy of a princess from Liberty in Love.
As a royal bride, Meghan could totally be forgiven for going all out on the bling or taking fashion cues from sister-in-law Kate and going for lace, but we totally fell in love with her simple dress from the moment she stepped out of the Rolls Royce. Since we laid eyes on Meghan’s Givenchy gown we have fallen in love with Dylan by Rosa Clara and this fishtail take on the simple theme from Maggie Sottero.
Princess Eugenie gave us serious traditional royal wedding inspired vibes when she wed long-term love Jack Brooksbank in October last year. Everything about her look was simply perfect but it was the stunning emerald tiara that grabbed our attention and we’ve seen a few jewel-toned hairpieces cropping up since then. We love this subtle jewel-encrusted piece from Mood at Debenhams or these sparkling green hair pins from Glitzy Secrets.
After years of popularity, strapless gowns have finally lost their style crown in favour of sleeved dresses, thanks to Kate, Meghan and Eugenie all opting for the covered-up look. 2019 and 2020 collections have included a range of royal wedding inspired dresses such as this statement back beauty by St. Patrick, this lacy sleeved number from La Sposa and this boho take on the sleeve trend from Pronovias. Whether you’re marrying at the height of summer and are looking for delicate and cool lace sleeves or wrapping up warm for a winter wedding, there’s a sleeved gown for you!
The royal wedding looks weren’t just about dresses and tiaras, we also noticed that each bride chose to show off her individual style with some seriously gorgeous jewellery.
To recreate Meghan’s look we found these fab Balmoral earrings from Ivory and Co. and this Bocheron bracelet from Liberty in Love. For Kate fans, you can’t beat the Lilibeth teardrop earrings from Liberty in Love and for anyone green with envy over Eugenie’s look, we recommend these emerald coloured dazzlers from Glitzy Secrets.
Each of our royal brides eschewed Carrie Bradshaw inspired colour pop wedding shoes and instead opted for traditional white or ivory satin. If you’re anything like us you’ll be totally obsessed with the look and luckily Rainbow Club has us covered with these Meghan-inspired stilettos. Paradox is giving us all the Kate vibes with these lace lovelies and these peep toe block heels are totally Eugenie.
