If you are marrying at a venue far away from your home, you may want to find a planner local to your venue. Otherwise, you’ll need to factor in transport costs for your planner too as they’ll need to do several site visits and more.

If you are planning a small, local wedding, on the other hand, then you have a little more flexibility and can probably start your planning 6 to 10 months in advance.
