We are now 5 months on from our wedding and looking through our photos that Rich took and meticulously edited we appreciate so much all the time effort and expertise that he puts into his photography. He truly knows the venues he uses inside and out, working with us too try to get the best out of us and our party.

Hi Richard We got the disk from the post office last night and even though I’d look at them on facebook several times I couldn’t wait to look at them all over again. I like the address on the envelope. I just can’t stress enough how beautiful the pictures are and what an amazing job you and Heidi did together. The pictures really told a story and it was lovely to see the emotions on peoples faces that we’d missed on the day. The way you have played with the lighting and effects in the pictures are fantastic. You haven’t missed a single little detail and you have obviously spent a lot of time on the pictures. Me and Matt are so pleased that we have such amazing photography to help us remember our day. Everyone thinks they’re brilliant and I like how straight forward you are with giving us all the pictures on a disk to keep, as I’d hate to have to choose. We have just received our CD through the post and were amazed by the beautiful images, thank you so much Rich and Heidi for all your hard work on our wedding day, you listened very carefully to what I particularly wanted and succeeded in taking some fabulous unique images that I have never seen any other photographer take. We really are so happy with our images and even though it wasn’t a particularly nice day weather wise, you cant even tell it was raining! Except for the images with my wellies in of course! Hey Rich, I know we’ve sent you our “official review” already, but after this weekend I wanted to write personally to thank you for the photographs. They are so vivid in every sense: when we’ve shared them with friends and family this weekend they’ve relived every moment so profoundly that you’ve brought the same warmth and smiles to their faces that they had on the day. You’ve managed to take us all back in time through them (I’d patent that time machine of yours quickly!). That itself has been an unlooked for joy of your photos. Another has been the way the same friends and family have spoken so highly of you and of how the whole experience of being part of the photographs (well, the ones they’ve known you were taking of them at least!) was so much fun, so relaxed, a pleasure to be part of, and an experience they’ll remember from the wedding with the same fondness as all the other special parts of the day. When we began our search for a photographer for our wedding we wanted someone like us – who would spend time on something until they got it just right – and you exceeded our expectations. When we first met you at Orchardleigh House, Rich, we had full confidence in you and knew you would create photo’s that would treasure our memories. We also really liked your creative flair – which is something we both lack! Thank you for taking the time to come to London for our engagement photo shoot – we had so much fun! Your enthusiasm is infectious, and I feel like I learned a bit about photography during the shoot! We found the engagement photo shoot really valuable and felt much more comfortable in front of the camera on the big day. On our wedding day itself you both did a wonderful job. We had so many comments from people about how friendly you were – you could have been guests! The pictures we have are fantastic and I can’t tell you the number of times I have been through them. They bring back so many memories each time and make us smile. Luckily we will be seeing you again at my Sister’s wedding in August. We would like to say a massive thank you to Richard and his team for all their hard work before, during and after our wedding. We loved Folly Farm when we first saw it but walking around with you talking creative ideas really brought the venue alive to us and made us see the possibilities Folly Farm offered. In such a short time you seemed to know and understand are vision for the day and used that to create some incredible shots which we and our friends and family will hold close to our hearts for ever. It is brilliant to be able to relive the day, now that it is not flying by in a blur, through your photos and see snippets of events that we missed due to being in other rooms etc. We could not recommend you highly enough to others, it was a pleasure having you as part of our wedding.

Hi Rich,

I was finally able to collect the USB from the post office today…The USB and prints were beautifully presented and Dan and I loved looking at all the photographs and reliving the happiest day of our lives. You captured so many beautiful moments (and messy moments at the bar and on the dance floor!) which told the story of our day. You blended in seamlessly and took so many photograph without me even realising you were there! We have had guests comment on how hard you were both working on the day and it shows in the range of images you took. It really was a pleasure to meet you and we will treasure the photographs.

The USB with the photos came through today. The photos are simply beautiful and countless of our friends have said the same. The photos speak for themselves, they are simply beautiful and to try and dissect them anymore would be doing them a disservice. What you can’t tell from the photos however is quite how well Rich and his co-photographer will blend into your wedding. Élan Images provides a perfect mixture of professionalism, discretion and charisma. That coupled with a rare talent for reading people and working out what make them tick means that having them around will if anything enhance your day.

We searched online for photographers in London and trawled close to a hundred sites before being captivated by the pictures on Élan Images. As soon as we spoke to Rich, we knew he was the photographer for us. He was the epitome of friendly and professional, with a great sense of humour to match. He put our anxieties to rest and listened to our requests carefully as well as offering great advice.

On the day, he came with his fantastic big grin and enthusiasm and worked his magic. For us, on the most beautiful day of our lives, he fitted in completely to our party; being able to both take photographs of the wedding without intruding, but also being part of the fun. So many of our friends also said what a great laugh he was! He even stayed longer than we had arranged without any fuss when things overran. We have received the photos and couldn’t be happier. They are absolutely perfect with a great mix of moments and posed shots. Using his skill, Rich managed to make two very camera shy people look relaxed and happy! Every time we look at them it’s like we are back on that wonderful day and we are extremely glad that he was there to capture it all.

What can we say to the star of our show!? We cannot ever thank you enough for all of your utterly outstanmding work and your laughter and support leading up to and during our wedding day. We could (hands-down) not have found a more talented photographer in all of the lands who truly ‘got’ us, better than we knew! (we are both very camera shy and look what you did!) For us Rich and Clare are the jewels in the crown that made up our wedding day. For many years we have followed Rich’s work on Facebook after being invited to follow his page. The task of wedding photographer is the only part of our wedding that we did not seek alternative suppliers. From our initial enquiry, the email communications, to the Skype discussions about our needs – Rich provided us with invaluable advice and an incredible sense of understanding which bred confidence in his ability to deliver. The work Rich produces is visually astounding, putting a unique contemporary spin on what can be a very formal day.
