About The Bootleg Swingband.
From the South West, The Bootleg Swingband are a six piece Swing band, consisting of four to six musicians, but are widely popular for their performances at weddings. The music they play is generally period defined and is from the 20s, 30s and 40s and feature styles such as gypsy, jazz and, of course, swing. They have worked at least one wedding a week since 2013 and have also performed for the public.
While the play mostly dance music, most of their performances are made of two one-hour sets made of tunes from the 20s, 30s and 40s. Their band is also complete with a PA and lights for your enjoyment. For more variety, you can choose from Django to tango as well.
How they work
Their instruments include two guitars, an upright bass, drums, a fiddle and vocals. A clarinettist is available upon request. Everyone in the band will dress in vintage style and attire to establish an authentic vibe that will really build up the atmosphere of your event.
