Squisito Italian weddings is a family-run Italian catering company based in Yelvertoft, Northamptonshire. Owners Sara and Alex love Italian food and love sharing their passion for all things Italian. Their authentic Italian catering is a celebration of family and friends and perfect wedding food. It's about heart and passion and sharing moments that no one present will ever forget. Squisito would love to do their part to make your special day a dream come true.
Squisito Italian weddings put you first. Working together to create your perfect Italian wedding menu featuring your favourite dishes. Squisito doesn't have a set menu. Instead, they will discuss ideas, consider your venue and the time of year, factor in your budget and any special dietary requirements, and then create a personalised menu for you to review, sample, and approve. Squisito uses only the freshest and finest ingredients, so whether you prefer delicious burrata from Campania or handmade porchetta and salsiccia made by Alex, you and your guests can look forward to a truly unforgettable wedding experience. We offer lots of free extras such as crockery, cutlery, serving platters and sharing boards. We can even artwork your menu and gelato labels for complete personalisation and that unique finishing touch.

Sara needs to be the caterer at your wedding
Sara completely got what we wanted and suggested a family sharing style option, which fit perfectly with the relaxed vibe we were going for.
Sara was really flexible and helped us deliver food to our guests throughout the day, starting with an antipasti buffet, before moving into a 2 course family sharing meal, followed up by Pizza and Gelato in the evening.
Sara also sorted out all our staff, so everything from food to drinks and clean up was taken care of. The staff she hired were exceptional and made the day an absolute breeze.
And then of course, we come to the food. We knew it would be amazing from the initial tasting, but the food on the day was exceptional. Even 2 weeks after the wedding our guests are still talking about the food and we've had loads of requests for Sara's name - so that says everything it needs to.
In short, if you're looking for a wedding caterer who can give you a delicious and hassle free wedding meal, then we can't recommend Sara enough.
People still comment a year later on how amazing the food was!
Before we settled on a final menu, Sara offered us the opportunity to come to her house where she cooked all the dishes we were considering. This was a truly special and really useful experience. Seeing all the food we has selected together allowed us to make some later changes to the menu based on how the food looked together.
Squisito were probably at the cheaper end of the suppliers that we contacted about catering, but don’t let that make you think there is any sacrifice in quality. Sara’s food was absolutely AMAZING. Several of our guests commented that it was the best food that they’ve ever had at a wedding. Many of these were the groom’s Italian family! So you know the food is legit.
We had an antipasti starter, the Squisito team had all the tables set up with the antipasti served on two tiers (raised planks holding bread and oil, with cheese, meat and vegetables served under the raised planks) not only did this looks spectacular, but also meant that all of the guests were served their starter at the same time rather than enviously looking on as other tables are served before them!
For our main course, we had a number of salads, the most amazing beef short rib ragu that I’ve ever had, some absolutely delicious truffle and ricotta tortelloni (they were enormous) and very tasty chicken parmigiano).
Despite some last minute changes to the table plan, the squisito team were able to deal seamlessly with moving people with dietary requirements. They were all very friendly, punctual, professional and yet personal. Hopefully we won’t be getting married again, but we would recommend Squisito to anyone else :D!
Perfect in every way
We could tell that squisito cared about what they did. It wasn’t just work for them. It was genuine passion.
Communication has been first class and infallible. Sara was our point of contact. We met with her a few times prior to the wedding. Firstly at her home where she cooked us a gorgeous meal.
Sara was able to offer her valued and unassuming support and ideas. She has seen so many weddings, it was lovely to hear about what works and what doesn’t. We happily took on board her suggestions and they really helped with the flow of the day.
The food on the wedding day was amazing. I don’t think I’ll ever forget walking into the barn and smelling the porchetta cooking.
The food lived up to every expectation. It was relaxed dining. We looked around and people were sharing food, laughter and conversation. It was everything we wanted.
We’ve had so many compliments about the food...all the way down to the choice of olive oil! I could describe each piece of food I tasted because the flavours stood out so much. One memory I won’t forget is that Alex’s sausages were quite a talking point. I remember a few of us on our table hadn’t gotten as far as tasting them until, luke, with beaming enthusiasm said “you’ve got to try this” ... so everyone quickly dived in. One by one we seen the realisation on people’s faces at how delicious it was!
We haven’t yet made it to your shop but we 100% will visit soon and be ready to sell out of everything!
