Kim is a Wiltshire based cake designer with over 20 years experience, offering a wide variety of styles to be able to create the perfect cake for your wedding or special occasion.
Firstly, congratulations on your engagement and thank you for considering us to be a part of your wedding journey!
There's so much variety and choice when it comes to wedding cakes it can seem quite daunting. From traditional tiered cakes to favours and dessert tables.
Fortunately, we're proud to be able to offer a wide variety of styles and options, enabling us to accommodate all of your wedding cake needs!
Whether you're looking for something traditional, rustic, detailed or minimalistic we will work with you to ensure we create the perfect cake for your special day.

THE PROCESS
As soon as you have booked your venue, it is best to get in touch to check our availability. If you can include your venue, guest count and attach any design ideas you have in mind we can get some quotes together for you if we're available!
As it's only Kim who creates our wedding cakes we're limited to the number we can take on per week. As a result popular dates and times of the year get booked up well in advance.
If you love our style, then you can secure your wedding date by paying a £100 non-refundable booking fee. The design of your wedding cake can be finalised at a later date.
Once your date has been secured we will look to get you booked in for your complimentary consultation around 3 months prior to your wedding date. Here we’ll chat through your cake design in more detail whilst you sample your chosen flavours from our wedding cake menu: https://www.kimmiscakes.co.uk/weddingcakemenu
After your consultation you'll be sent a draft copy of your wedding cake details to check and approve. We can then finalise the final design of your wedding cake, flavour choices and price via email.
The balance for your wedding cake order will be due 4 weeks before your date.
We liaise directly with your wedding venue to arrange delivery and set up of your wedding cake, so all you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy your wedding day!

So my cake journey started when I was a little girl, helping my Nannie in the kitchen during school holidays and weekends, learning all the basics! Everything else I've learnt since then has been self taught, with the help of books and videos.
In 2016 I was asked to make a Game of Thrones birthday cake and it all went from there. After making more cakes for work colleagues and building up a small portfolio I decided it was time...
'Kimmi's Cakes' was registered in December 2017. I was still working full-time, commuting to Reading and then baking and decorating cakes during any spare time I had. Eventually it got to a point where I was having to turn away orders, it was at this point I decided to take the plunge and quit my job, taking on the challenge of being a full-time cake maker and decorator.
I'm absolutely loving it, having made my first wedding cake in 2018! I take on every challenge that I am presented and aim for nothing less than perfection.
