High House Weddings is an award-winning wedding venue with a Grade II listed barn and elegant reception marquee set in the scenic Essex countryside. The venue offers exclusive use for your special day, ensuring an intimate atmosphere for you and your guests.

Prepare for your wedding in style in The Dressing Room, an oak-framed orangery overlooking pretty gardens and a swimming pool. With comfy sofas, stlyish dressing tables, and abundant natural light, it provides the ideal backdrop for your pre-wedding preparations.

Choose between an outdoor ceremony beneath a charming thatched gazebo or an indoor ceremony within the Essex barn. With the venue exclusively yours, the location of your ceremony can be decided upon on the day, weather permitting.

Explore the venues six-acres of grounds featuring a picturesque Monet-inspired bridge over a serene pond and picturesque vineyards, perfect for capturing timeless photographs. For your reception drinks, mingle with guests on the outdoor patio area Stable Bar.

A unique feature at High House is the marquee overlooking the tranquil lake, offering beautiful sunset views. The marquee has a dance floor reveal, complete with twinkling star-cloth lining, a stage, and a black and white dance floor, ensuring an unforgettable party atmosphere for your wedding day.

Coming in spring 2024, is the new Farmhouse accommodation featuring 11 luxurious ensuite bedrooms, a shared lounge, and kitchen space. For the newlyweds, escape to the intimate Couples Retreat within the secluded secret garden, offering a lavish bedroom, freestanding bath, en-suite shower room, cosy lounge, and kitchen. In addition to our Farmhouse and Couples Retreat, we are delighted to offer further accommodation in our Guest Lodge, ensuring a comfortable stay for all your guests.

More exciting news for 2025 weddings at High House, we're upgrading our marquee to a beautiful Orangery, complete with an extended terrace overlooking the lake and vineyard. Plus, a new entrance through the vineyard and an extension on the Stable Bar for indoor receptions.

The most beautiful place we could have hoped for

Everything ran perfectly and looked and felt amazing.. everything was Exactly as we had envisioned, super helpful staff on the day and with the planning and lead up we felt completely looked after every step of the way to run the day as we wanted.. absolutely stunning in every way!

Kelly & Paul’s wedding on Sunday 28th April 2024 As parents of the Bride we would like to thank Haley & Jessica and all their team for their professionalism and the calm that they bring to a very special occasion. Everything that they do from the initial meetings to the booking of the wedding and the months of pre planning of the wedding day is done through meetings with the Bride & Groom. The advice that they give and the contacts details of their suppliers was first class. Our daughter and her partner chose Valentine Cuisine as their caterer for the wedding breakfast and it proved to be a great choice with many many of the guests commenting on how good the food was. Well done to Adrian and his team of chefs, waiters and waitresses and those serving the food. Thank you to the day’s photographer and videographer for taking the photos and the video. We cannot wait to see them. The way they marshalled us all to where we needed to be and the many different shots that they took was again all done in a very calm way and put the Bride & Groom at ease with it all. High bHouse is an immaculate venue. The grounds a very well kept, the interior of the dressing room and the bridal suite and guest rooms were all of a very high standard. Haley & Jessica were hands on all day and well into the evening. We cannot praise them enough. A very very good well run and professional venue and team. It is no wonder that they win awards time after time for best wedding venue in the south east of England. Long may it continue. We urge you all to Google High House and book an open day to view if you are planing on getting married. You will be well received by Haley and her team with Valentine Cuisine offering tasty canapés. You will not regret it.

High House is a very special venue

High House is a very special venue, we both knew it as soon as we stepped inside on our first open day. As it is a family home you can feel the love and care in the atmosphere and surroundings. Our day was absolutely perfect and we wouldn’t change one thing about it. The staff are lovely and Hayley is an absolute superstar. Thank you High House!!

We had a truly wonderful day

What an amazing day! Hayley - you are amazing, a true credit to the High House team. You made everything so perfect we are truly thankful. The whole team were fantastic. We had a truly wonderful day, despite the rain! The food was remarkable and all guests commented on how lovely it all was. The Valentines team were brilliant and Luke and I have a day we will never forget. Thank you all.

A memorable and special day

The day of our dreams

Myself and Josh cannot thank Hayley enough for what she did on Saturday, she really did make our day so special! Everything ran so smoothly and we had the best day of our lives. It was utterly amazing and we wish we could do it all over again! Hayley is a real credit to the High House team and we really couldn’t have done it without her. All the staff at High House were amazing and couldn’t do enough. All of our guests have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to which is music to my ears. All we can say is thank you for helping us have the day of our dreams.

What an amazing day we had

Want to send huge thanks over to you and your team at High House. What an amazing day we had, from start to finish, Rob was fantastic running the bar to demand, the bar staff were friendly and had some amazing drinks between them that us and our guests loved.

We had the most fantastic day, Jean was amazing and nothing was too much, she has answered all of my silly questions along the way, things flowed so well and the feed back from our guest has been so positive with the service and the stunning venue, some have even said it’s the best wedding they have ever been too!

We want to thank everyone at High House especially Samantha, for making our dream wedding a reality.

The day was perfect from start to finish, everything ran smoothly and we truly believe that Samantha made the whole wedding planning process so stress free, that we were able to enjoy the build up to our big day.

All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue is and how professional, friendly and efficient all of the staff are.

The food is amazing and there’s plenty of it. Just simply delicious.

Myself and Ben would like to thank High House for the most magical day. We loved everything about it and have even discussed renewing our vows at High House in the future.

We couldnt have made a better choice

I’m not even sure where to begin. Words cannot express how thankful we are to Jean and the rest of the High House team for making our whole wedding day so perfect!
