About The Shepherds Rest
Set in the mountainside of Northern Ireland in The Shepherd's Rest. Residing next to the River Moyola, it is a breathtaking beauty enhanced by its history and folklore. It is the centre of the country's social scene and is renowned for its lively conversation, local banter and traditional wit. You will find a pleasant atmosphere in the upstairs lounge where you can gather around their two open fire or take part in some dancing.
Facilities and capacity
You can invite 25 to 180 guests to your event and celebrate with them in their banquet halls, terraces or marquees. Outside, you can host a barbeque at their fully stocked garden house that features a hearth fire or enjoy the craic during the winter.
A member of their experienced management team will pay exclusive attention to you and your party. They provide complimentary packages that include a red carpet welcome; champagne reception; tea, coffee and biscuits for guest arrivals; use of their cake stand and knife; colour coordinated napkins of choice; fresh flowers and linen table cloths on the top table; private garden and free room hire.
They offer a varied collection of drinks. A wine list will be available upon request though they encourage you to preorder your preferences. If you choose to bring your own, it must be pre-approved by the management. Their menus include starters, sorbets, main course selection, home-made desserts, a barbeque wedding option, salads, cheese buffets and an evening reception. Any special dietary requirements must be addressed to them in advance.
Complimentary arrangements can be provided for you if your guest numbers are above 120. Your rooms will be located at the Apparo Hotel in Draperstown, which is only a 5-minute drive away from the establishment. A camping site is available for those wishing for something a little different.
