About The Priests House
The Priests House is based in Skipton, North Yorkshire. The venue was originally a chapel from the 1600's serving the Tower and the local area. The building is grade 1 listed and has large historical value. Although restored, the venue still has much of its' historical significance, such as the log beams and open fireplaces. Your wedding will have a distinctive charm at The Priests House.
Facilities and capacity
The House on the grounds is a great place for small ceremonies holding up to 34 guests with the ceremony taking place in the Old Chapel and the wedding breakfast in the House. Separate ceremonies without a reception can also be requested. The Old Chapel was built more that 75 years ago with a license for civil weddings and holding up to 80 guests. A wedding breakfast or evening reception may also be held here, providing the entire day's events in one place for convenience.
When using the House or Chapel or both, private use of the grounds is given exclusively to you. Only one event is hosted at a time, so exclusive access to the staff is given to you as well. If booking the Barden Bunk Barn, the entire site is yours for your event. Referrals to photographers are given as well as suggestions for photo op locations. Albums of work samples are provided at the restaurant to look over. A florist, Debbie, takes care of all flower arrangements. Music, decoration, and more is offered through the venue.
A choice of 3-course menus with canapes available is provided. Traditional and regional options are offered. Menus can be adapted to fit the needs of the individual client. Dietary needs are met with other menu choices such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free. Wedding cheesecake is offered through the venue, or clients may bring their own wedding cake at no additional charge.
The Barden Bunk Barn hosts up to 24 guests overnight. There is a bridal room for preparations available to the bride. And the entire grounds are for private use when booking with The Priests House. A medieval time period setting creates the allure of history in the midst at these fabulous locations.
