The perfect London venue!

We fell in love with Ironmongers' the first time we visited. The venue was ideal for our civil ceremony. It has the wow factor and manages to combine grandeur with an intimate atmosphere. We got married in December and the Hall looked fantastic with a Christmas tree and candlelight.

Throughout the planning and on the day, Alina (Events Coordinator at Ironmongers'), was amazing. Her attention to detail, professional approach and desire to ensure we had the perfect event made a massive difference.

Cannot recommend this venue and the team highly enough, if you are looking for a central London venue.

A fantastic venue for a perfect day

We would like to thank Paulina, Gabor and their team for everything they did to make our wedding such a huge success.

Location: it's very central and it works perfectly for our international guests. I love that it's a hidden gem. Low-key yet classy. Also perfect for site visits and meetings if you work in the City.

Venue: We fell in love with the Ironmongers' Hall the first time we saw it. The venue was breathtaking: the grand staircase, the banqueting hall, the courtroom, the little cute courtyard, the fireplaces, the portraits, the sculptures, the furniture...Everything was so charming that we didn't even need to decorate the venue with any flowers. The candelabras and ivy were already enough for the sit-down meal.

Food: amazing. My husband is from Spain and I am from Hong Kong. Our guests were from the UK, Australia, Thailand and all over the world - everyone from different cultures was very happy with the food.

DJ and music: we strongly suggest anyone who's going to hire the Hall to use the same DJ company. The DJ made our evening a memorable one and people like my dad who never danced, actually danced on the day!

Service: excellent. One of the reasons, if not the most important reason, for us to choose the Hall was Paulina. She was friendly, smart, professional, efficient, responsive, honest, flexible with requests and with a good sense of humour. There was almost no stress when it came to the logistics on the day. Paulina and her team made it work like clockwork. Everything went perfectly on the day and all our guests were extremely happy. You can't ask for more from an experienced event manager. It made a huge difference on the wedding day - thank you Paulina, Gabor and team!

Perfect London venue - phenomenal team!

We held our wedding (ceremony and reception) at Ironmongers' Hall and we had an absolutely fantastic day.
The Hall is a beautiful venue with a lot of character; it has all of the convenience of a City location, with a lot of historic charm and a quintessentially London feel.
Paulina and the team couldn't have been more helpful and professional both in helping us plan the wedding and in running the day itself. Nothing was too much trouble and Paulina had lots of great ideas and suggestions to make sure that we and our guests enjoyed the day.

A perfect place for our winter wedding

Ironmongers' Hall was a wonderful, wonderful wedding venue. We feel exactly the same as the previous review, it is a hidden gem in the city. It was a perfect place for our winter wedding - a beautiful, elegant dining room lit with candles, plus lots of space for our guests to wander around and chat.

The food was by far and away the best we've had at a wedding and indeed most restaurants. The meat was beautifully cooked and melted under your knife, bread-and-butter pudding could have been heavy risk but it was lovely and light and tasty. The cheese and biscuits finished the night off nicely and it was all washed down with some good wine and great service.

Paulina and the team were fantastic and are the reason that the event was a success. We were so grateful to her for the way that she managed everything in the weeks leading up to the event and on the day itself, everything was done professionally, thoughtfully, pleasantly and Paulina and her team made the celebrations possible and successful. And it didn't stop there, they carried on being helpful in the days after the wedding.

Everybody had a wonderful time and all commented on how beautiful the venue was, how good the food was, how good the staff were and how much fun they had.

Thank you to Paulina and the team!

The Perfect wedding venue

Ironmongers' Hall really was the most perfect wedding venue for our wedding.

When I was planning our wedding, we wanted to find a venue that would convince our overseas guests that the trip to the UK had been worthwhile. I must have made a list of over 100 venues in the UK.

Ironmongers' Hall is firstly, stunning. It's hidden in the Barbican, and it's like a secret gem. The inside is a grand, gorgeous building. The Great Hall is impressive as is the reception room. Every detail is gorgeous, from the lights to the paintings and the furniture. The atmosphere is romantic and otherworldly.

Most importantly though, the team at Ironmongers' Hall is incredibly professional and kind. There were so many venues and weddings I've been to that felt impersonal. However, Paulina and her team made an effort from the very beginning to make us feel welcome. We had some last minute emergencies - our alcohol order was cancelled, and we wouldn't have known EXCEPT for the fact that the team gave us a call the day before the wedding.

On the day of the wedding, everything ran like clockwork. Everyone commented on the service and the atmosphere.

It felt like we had entered a different world - candlelight, history, beautiful music - it really was magical. I highly recommend this gem as a wedding venue.

Mother of the bride

Words could not begin to express how amazing our daughters wedding was at Ironmongers Hall. The venue really has the wow factor and our guests continue to talk about how perfect Sam and Nicole's wedding celebration was. Paulina ..... truly wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and I have never met anyone before who truly is so helpful, kind and very organised, totally on top of everything, together with her staff. We will forever be grateful to Paulina and Ironmongers Hall for making our daughters special day a day to always remember with a big smile on our faces.

Perfect setting for our happy day!

We held our civil ceremony and wedding for 101 guests at the Ironmongers' Hall - and we are so happy with our decision! First off, Paulina, the events manager, was very informative and quick to respond to our questions as we planned the event. As a result, we had a smooth program of events from the music we chose for the civil cermony, to the bubbly drinks reception in the lovely drawing room (check out the William Morris tapestry - beautiful in its own right, but also a nice background colour for photos), our tasty meal and dancing. Paulina also gave some helpful recommendations, including the florist, who had worked at the venue before and knew exactly what she was doing in bringing our white and pink colour theme to life.
On the day itself, our wedding went really smoothly. The morning of the wedding, my nervous groom(!) said that he felt reassured when he stopped by the hall and saw the staff polishing the glasses to make sure that they were shiny and clean! It was just one sign of the professionalism and attention to detail of everyone at the Ironmongers' Hall.
We also had a smashing party! The central London location was convenient for the majority of guests and a fun spot for friends and relatives travelling in from the US, Australia, Wales and Scotland. We ate delicious food, danced away and got loads of compliments on how beautiful the venue was.
Our wedding day was wonderful and the Ironmongers' Hall will have a very special place in our hearts in the years to come.

Dream Venue, Perfect Manager, Delicious Food

As parents of the bride we were delighted by the organisation of the wedding of Eva and Richard. It was just perfect and magical. Special thanks go to the Chef – all meals were delicious! Our guests commented on the wonderful venue and how smoothly everything went. We warmly recommend the services of Ironmongers’ Hall to anyone, we cannot imagine a better wedding venue.

Wonderful day, wonderful venue

We held our wedding reception at Ironmongers' Hall in December 2014 and could not have been more pleased with the result on the day. Paulina's manner, level of service and attention to detail is second to none. She also answered all our silly questions with enormous grace in very quick time, she is true professional.

The venue itself is beautiful, and all of our guests still keep commenting on the wonderful food and service. We would highly recommend the venue for anyone looking for a little piece of history and tradition in the City.

Perfect wedding venue

This building is a hidden gem in the heart of London. It has the most unassuming exterior, but I felt this added to the wow factor once inside. It has historical interest and is very well maintained, yet not pristine. The main hall is fantastic for a reception and we were also able to make use of some of the other rooms for different aspects of the occasion.
My main compliment is for the service that we received during and after the event. The team made planning easy. Food and wine were delicious and service during the meal was flawless. I really cannot thank them enough for surpassing our expectations!

Excellent service, Excellent location

We hosted our wedding party at Ironmongers' Hall and cannot fault the venue or the service we received. Paulina, the events manager, was outstanding - extremely professional and accommodating to all our demands! The waiting staff were also brilliant. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host an event in London.

A big day made even better by slick management

I would wholly recommend Ironmongers Hall. Working in the hospitality industry myself, I have very high expectations.
From our initial meeting Paulina & Ed understood our needs and delivered our expectations, nothing was too much trouble.

The food was of excellent quality, I literally have nothing negative to say. The portions were a big size, they catered to dietary requirements and was well received by all the guests.

Their attention to detail is second to none. We didn't have to worry at all about anything on the day. Our glasses were always topped up, they preempted our requirements and were always on hand whoever ever needed.

The venue itself is stunning, very well maintained and has many beautiful backdrops for pictures.

The price points for the day are very reasonable, especially considering the lever of service offered.

We had the most memorable day, all of this helped by what i have explained above.
I cannot recommend this venue enough.

The Perfect Wedding

We fell in love with Ironmongers' Hall the moment we stepped into it and choosing to have my wedding reception there was the best decision we have made.

The venue itself was amazing, all my guests commented on how grandeur the place was, you don't need any other decorations, just let the paintings, tapestries and their own decor speak for themselves!

All the staff at Ironmongers' were absolutely fantastic as well. Paulina and her team were extremely helpful from the very beginning of the planning. Weere impressed by their attention to details and we knew we were in good hands.

The day itself could not be any better, all the staff were friendly and professional, and the food was delicious! We knew everyone enjoyed the food when we saw many empty plates at the end of the meal.

Thank you for making our special day so perfect!

A magical day

From the get-go, I had every confidence that the staff at Ironmongers would pull off our big day. With their depth of experience at throwing such big events, they understood how to schedule the day and take care of all the logistics. It was like having a wedding planner without paying the cost. The venue, of course, is also stunning. A real treasure in the midst of the city.
