About Ayscoughfee Hall
Ayscoughfee Hall is set in a medieval space that dates back to the year 1451. This impressive grade I listed building features exhibitions, displays and educational options for the public to enjoy. Its three ground floor suites are available for hire when the Ayscoughfee Hall Museum is closed to the general public, making it the ideal setting for your upcoming celebration.
Facilities and capacity
This venue has two ground floor suites which are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies for up to 40 guests. You may also use Ayscoughfee Gardens as a beautifully manicured background for shooting the most unique wedding photographs.
Even though we do not host receptions within the Hall, we can serve drinks while photographs are taken in the Gardens (as Ayscoughfee Gardens is a public park, exclusivity for your wedding photography cannot be provided).
The formal Gardens gracefully complement the historic Ayscoughfee Hall, in fact, there is a Yew Tree walk which dates back to the 1720s. A beautiful lake is headed by a War Memorial by Sir Edwin Lutyens, and secluded in the rear, is the Ice House which once served the Hall's cuisine.
