This hotel is a hidden gem

We recently got married here on the 21st of December 2019 and our whole day was just amazing. This hotel is a hidden gem and is a high quality, chic, up to date hotel. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly but very professional and nothing was too much trouble. The wedding co-ordinator Kate is very easy to talk to and open to suggestions/ideas and any questions / enquiries we did have were answered promptly. We had booked the venue in January and throughout the months beforehand, regular contact was made, meetings held and food tasting arranged for us with our last meeting taking place just a few days before with Events Coordinator Katie and Operational Manager Nick. We had dinner on the Friday night and the service and food was excellent and then joined our guests that were staying at the hotel in the bar area which was very relaxing. On the day Nick & Kate and all the team who were on duty made our day just perfect. Even the rain didn’t effect us as we had arranged with the photographer and the hotel to use the ceremony room for group shots in case of bad weather, after all it was December. All our guests were impressed with the venue. We had the ceremony in the Crownhill Suite and Wedding Breakfast in the Watling Suite which was stunning. The room was set up exactly how we had envisaged it, the food was excellent quality, plentiful and beautifully plated. The Evening buffet was lovely as well. After our guests had gone and the day sadly ended, when we returned to our room a gift from the hotel had been left for us which was a beautiful unexpected touch. We would happily recommend this venue to anyone getting married

Adams Wedding

Myself and my partner booked our wedding reception here and from start to finish the Mercure have been brilliant. No request was too much and they did everything to accommodate our requirements. All the staff on the day really went the extra mile to make us feel special. Their packages certainly prove you can have luxury on a budget.

So me and myhusband booked our wedding at mecure hotel we were given excellant service through even catered for my cousin who has severve nut allegy they were amazing all my guests really good time i would highly recommend them x

Amazing location!

My husband and I married here in April 2019 on our 10 year anniversary which fell on a Wednesday. The day of the week it fell on gave me such anxiety and I was so worried about what a mid-week wedding would bring but Sarah the conference and events manager was absolutely amazing from the very first meeting to the day she was brilliant! There was another events manager there running our day a guy and I cannot for the love of me remember his name but he was pure class!! Such a laugh and so helpful! All the staff were! Nothing was too much they were so friendly. I had staff coming up to me during the day and the next day telling me how beautiful I looked (which is always nice to hear)
The honeymoon suite is so so gorgeous with french boutique inspired furniture and I stayed in one of their biggest suites the night before for myself and bridesmaids to get married in and it was comfortable and spacious!

I could go on and on they are fab! Call Sarah book a tour and chat you won’t be disappointed!!
We actually found out a few weeks after the wedding that we are expecting our second baby and can’t wait to go back here for our first anniversary!!

Fantastic Wedding!!

Our wedding at the Mecure Hotel Abbey Hill Milton Keynes was a huge success not least due to the efforts of Dace, Kemal and the whole team at the hotel, not only the events team but reception, the restaurant and everyone else. Dace was brilliant in the planning of the event allowing us to make whatever changes and additions we wanted as the day grew closer. From the outset it was clear to us that she had a grip on the event and we were very much put at ease by her confidence and attitude.

The hotel were flexible over the setting up of the wedding and even to the extent of arranging for us to have the wedding in the Watling Suite and then resetting that room for the wedding breakfast which was exactly what we wanted and clearly involved a great deal of work for the Events team.

We found that the inclusion of a wedding planner florist and wedding stationary really useful as it helped to manage the budget and ensured these separate people not only worked together to make our day special but they bounced ideas off of each other which meant that the room looked fantastic for both the ceremony and the wedding breakfast without imposing additional expense.

The staff dealt with any request or issue immediately and professionally, even the two musicians we engaged mentioned how friendly the staff were. All the staff not just the event team but everyone, we had some elderly guests staying at the hotel and they were similarly well accommodated.

In all I cannot praise the hotel enough for the way they managed the event. Any and all delays in the itinerary or service were caused by us, not the hotel who worked tirelessly to keep us on track.

We held our wedding reception there, highly recom

Top class hotel - the food, venue and bedrooms all superb. The staff were extremely professional and couldn't have been more helpful throughout the whole day.
Particular mention goes to Kemal (Ops manager) and Dace (event manager) - both of whom went above and beyond and also were so warm and friendly. So good to find a team of staff that are so good at their job but also friendly at the same time.

The food was excellent and very efficiently served.

Wedding

Our wedding was held here in September 2016. The wedding co-ordinator , Dace, couldn't have been more helpful and dealt with any queries or issues we had really quickly. Both Dace and Kemal (ops Manager) were on hand on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly, they were brilliant.

The Venue was exactly what we were after, the room had a large mirror at one end and chandeliers, the food was amazing and all our guests commented so. The Hotel's DJ for the evening was really good and played a variety of music and requests which suited everyone.

Kemal ensured that the rest of the day went smoothly even dancing with one of our guests during the first dance which was a nice touch. The bar staff on the evening were really friendly, efficient and entertaining, one even doing a little bit of magic and a few bar tricks!


The rooms were well presented and facilities in the rooms excellent. The beds were really comfortable. When we returned to our room when the wedding had ended, the hotel had tied a ribbon around our door and in the room there were some nibbles and a present from the hotel to help us remember our day at the hotel, which was unexpected but a lovely surprise.

The location of the hotel was perfect as we had guests coming from London as well as from the north. The reception staff on duty both on the night of the wedding and the morning after were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us.

We had Dinner in the restaurant the night before the wedding and the staff were brilliant and made the evening more enjoyable and the food was great. At breakfast there was a really good choice, all self service and hot.

Amazing Wedding Day thanks!

Me and my now Husband choose this hotel for our outside wedding. We only wanted a small and intimate wedding and we spoke with Dace about that and to say she done and amazing job is an understatement. We had the most fantastic wedding day here, everything was taken care of and the staff that helped to make our day perfect were all truly amazing and sooo helpful and friendly!!
The wedding went along without a single hiccup, the food was amazing - everyone loved it. All in all if i had the choice again i would choose to be married here, it was honestly the most perfect day.

We will never forget

We got married at the hotel earlier this year and will remember it as the best day of our lives. Everything was 5* the staff, the service and the interior. We were made to feel so welcome from when we first got shown around to even after our wedding has taken place. This hotel is a real hidden gem and I would recommend anyone wanting a stylish, top class wedding to wed here.

Amazing wedding venue!

We recently got married at this venue on 1st March 2014 and it was amazing. The venue has been rebranded by Mercure and the refurbishment has turned it in to a high quality, chic, up to date hotel. All staff were extremely helpful and willing to go the extra mile, nothing was too much! The wedding co-ordinator Beth is very easy to talk to and open to suggestions/ideas. On the day I had a fantastic lady called Das who overseen everything and she was faultless. All guests were impressed with the food which is top quality and plentiful. Evening buffet was perfect.
