The Coopers Arms is a splendid 17th century mansion house and one time garrison of troops during the English civil war. Since then it has changed it welcoming function to focus on weddings and certainly makes an exceptional welcoming venue. Facilities and capacity
With civil ceremony permission for 80 guests who will then be escorted to enjoy a fabulous wedding breakfast. If you prefer to have an evening reception, The Coopers can cater for 170 people. They also have two conservatories overlooking the lake and the open countryside. The smaller one can seat up to 40 people, and the other one, up to 65. The Charles I room is ideal for very intimate events.
At the Coopers Arms, you will receive the full support and attentiveness of their event manager who will show you how best to use the spaces, choose the menu that suits you best from a delectable choice and recommend suppliers that you may not already have prepared.
They pride themselves on their expert silver service. Their restaurant is famous for its top quality as they lovingly combine local flavours with regional and traditional dishes. For example, all of their beef is Derbyshire reared, dry-aged for a month to give the optimum flavour and texture.
